  • Broom, Yes, I'm from Iowa. Regarding a "Civil War". I don't think there will be a new one anytime soon. Maybe a military coup d'état, but not a civil war.

  • Broom, I have mixed feelings. On one hand you should not be punished for protecting yourself or your family. On the other, abuses could occur and innocent people shot. I do know that since Iowa became a "Must Issue", (permits), you never hear about a permit holder shooting anyone.

  • I have a concealed carry permit. In my state, Iowa, the responsibility placed on anyone carrying a firearm is great.
